Initially believing Huw is being held in the farmhouse against his will by his recently returned family, one man battles to uncover the truth of his old friend’s sudden disappearance, whatever the consequences. Enlisting the help of his pals at the club, he sets off on a rollercoaster adventure, via the recycling tip, life drawing classes, rogue farming practices and cowboy builders, to try and uncover the truth behind Huw’s disappearance. Pitched up against police incompetence, criminality and crooked council workers, no-one can be trusted.

Martin Whitbread
After retirement from a career in geology, Martin and his wife moved to an old cottage on a small holding in Pembrokeshire in the west of Wales with their menagerie of pet pigs, goats and chickens. His interests include bee keeping, learning Welsh with Dysgu Cymraeg and storytelling with the local creative writing group. This is his first novel.
